Liricamente Soave

The Municipality of Soave intends to pay homage to the Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, on the centenary of his death, and celebrate the Opera Singing that has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with “Liricamente Soave” an evening dedicated to opera.

In the setting of Palazzo del Capitano, the opera group “Invito all’Opera”, with the participation of the Coro San Filippo Neri directed by Maestro Iris Composta, will perform some pieces taken from the operas of the most illustrious composers: Puccini, Verdi, Mascagni and Bizet.

Brief notes on the opera group “Invito all’Opera”.

The opera group “Invito all’Opera” was born almost by chance through a few years of work and study: when the baritone Giuseppe Scandola and the mezzo-soprano Maria Del Fante stopped their international careers they were encouraged to teach and donate their experience.

Many have come to their school, but few have revealed authentic talent, unshakable passion, desire to tread those stages intended for those with a whole series of qualities.

This is how the group was formed: everyone has been studying and preparing weekly for a long time. Collaboration, trust and a beautiful constructive friendship have been created. The harmony has allowed the study of ensemble pieces and complete works that are in their now vast repertoire. Everyone has also achieved artistic independence always followed by the enthusiasm and experience of their teachers. This partnership continues by staging difficult and rarely performed works several times.

In addition to concert activity, the group has also performed with sets and costumes: Trovatore, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci, Traviata, Il Corsaro, Attila, Bohème and in selection Aida and Forza del destino, all with orchestra or piano. The main purpose of the group is to spread, make known and love the music of the great authors and the opera theater.

Operatic - Symphonic Choir and Children's Voices "San Filippo Neri"

The Operatic - Symphonic Choir "San Filippo Neri" is made up of artists with proven experience and young singing students and is supported by an ever-renewed group of Children's Voices.

In years of intense artistic activity it has consolidated a vast repertoire that includes the main traditional lyrical and symphonic compositions.

For the effectiveness of its vocal preparation and its skill in acting on stage, it receives many invitations and unanimous approval.

Over the years it has collaborated with Opera Institutions, Traditional Theaters, Musical Associations and Municipal Administrations in the staging of multiple operatic and symphonic productions.

Verona Arena, Venice Fenice, Bassano Opera Festival, Traditional Theaters of: Treviso, Rovigo, Vicenza, Mantua, Sondrio, Cesena, Rimini, Jesi, Fermo, Trento, Rovereto.

He has collaborated with the directors: Daniel Oren, Tiziano Severini, Giampaolo Bisanti, Lorenzo Passerini, Eiichi Tomabechi, Stefano Giaroli, Damiano Carissoni, Giuliano Bertozzo, Maurizio Fipponi, Lorenzo Bizzarri, Lorenzo Tazzieri, Riccardo Boeretto.

The directors: Hugo de Ana, Ivan Stefanutti, Valerio Lopane, Luigi Orfeo, Elena D’Angelo.

The choir was founded within the Musical Association “San Filippo Neri” of Lavagno (VR). It was entrusted to the direction of Maestro Ubaldo Composta until July 2021. After this date the direction passed to Maestro Iris Composta.
