I'm Francesca, and I want to tell you about my Verona. I realized my little big dream, to work at the Tourist Office in Verona, to help tourists discover the hidden beauties of Verona and its province. They had to take me away by force from the front office when years ago they asked me to take care of the first tourist promotion portal of the Province, but I said to myself: "Well, so I can communicate to a lot of people!". And here I am, leading an innovative digital tourism project for the Veneto Region. This portal has a powerful engine called Destination Management System. And you'll see some good ones!
Why choose Verona?
Verona wasn't my life choice in the first place. I swooped in on a frosty January evening, greeted by a thick fog I'd never seen in my life. I was ready to take that train back home, but once the fog cleared, during a walk nearby Ponte Pietra, I was captivated by its immense beauty. In every place I found something familiar. Verona is a perfect combination of North and South. I'm sure each of you can get lost in your own streets...and find yourself.
What should never be missed by a tourist in Verona?
Woe to you if I find you in the city or in the surroundings of Verona distracted or hasty. Bring your child’s eyes behind you and Verona will be able to amaze you with unexpected visions and emotions.
What does a tourist have to do in Verona?
The breathtaking panorama from Castel San Pietro. Let your eyes wander and enjoy the view.
