An hour of music

Starting from Sunday October 19, the twenty-first season of the chamber music series An Hour of Music, featuring the historic Maffei Quartet, which has reached the milestone of 25 years of activity, will celebrate this special occasion with 7 musical proposals focused on the first part of the complete string quartets of Beethoven, presented in its entirety, which will continue next year.

The series, sponsored by the Municipality of Verona, aims primarily to promote the knowledge of chamber music literature in the different musical styles that have characterized our musical culture.

The program is developed as follows:

- October 19, 2025, Complete Quartets of Beethoven, with the presence of musicologist Raffaele Napoli

- December 7, 2025, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.132

- December 14, 2025, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.132 The Great Fugue, with Giovanni Bietti on the piano

- January 25, 2026, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.95 and 135

- February 22, 2026, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.59 n.1 and op. 18 n.2

- March 22, 2026, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.18 n.5 and op. 74

- April 26, 2026, Complete Quartets of Beethoven. Quartet op.59 n.2 and op. 127

All concerts will take place on Sundays at 11:00 AM at the Teatro Fucina Culturale Machiavelli.
