This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of leatherworking, giving participants the opportunity to learn essential artisanal techniques while creating their own unique leather piece. Designed for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike, it offers a practical, hands-on experience suitable for all skill levels. The course is available in both Italian and English, and all materials and tools are provided by the studio.

During the workshop, you will be introduced to the core techniques of leathercraft, including pattern making, cutting, stitching, and finishing. You will work with traditional hand tools such as cutting and skiving knives and stitching punches, and learn both single- and double-needle hand-stitching techniques. Throughout the experience, the craftswoman will share practical advice and professional insights drawn from her expertise.

Participants may choose the model they wish to create from the available options: a handbag, a shoulder bag, or a phone or passport holder with a shoulder strap. You will also select your leather from the options provided and follow each step of the process, including cutting, assembling, hand-punching, hand-stitching, and edge finishing. The pattern for your chosen design will be supplied by the studio.

By the end of the class, you will have completed a handcrafted leather item to take home.
