The villa is located in the immediate vicinity of the ancient parish church of Colognola ai Colli, a place dating back to Roman times and included in the landscape of the Illasi valley.
The building is set in a predominantly flat landscape and is therefore easily visible from a distance, especially due to the imposing volume of the structure.
This is a large manor house, arranged over three floors, with attached rustic buildings and a courtyard, reflecting the architectural style of the early 19th century. Although the structural analysis of the original walls and the typological and morphological layout of the internal distribution of spaces suggest that the building has been expanded upon 16th-century preexistences, it retains the layout of the ground floor rooms, vaulted ceilings, and the pigeon tower.
The entrance is tripartite, featuring an arched opening flanked by two smaller architraved openings that create a portico, while the upper floor openings are of smaller dimensions.
During the renovations that took place in the second half of the 18th century, the right portico was demolished to make way for a new house, and a new portico was built along with it. To access the third floor, the ramps of the 17th-century staircase were extended, additional rooms were constructed in front of the pigeon tower, and a second crenellated tower emerged with a spiral staircase.
