8 march, International Women's Day

The Department for Gender Equality celebrates March 8th, International Women's Day, which in the 2026 edition has the theme "The Republic of Women. 80 years of the future," a reference to the 80th anniversary of women's right to vote, an anniversary that coincides with the birth of the Italian Republic.

A rich program of events that, until Sunday, May 24th, includes a series of initiatives proposed by important city institutions: the result is an important calendar of about 100 events, offering opportunities for reflection, meetings, exchanges of ideas and experiences with women at the center.

On March 8th, moreover, entry to museums and city monuments is free for all women.

The initiatives are free to enter/participate, except for those with different indications.
