At the Miniscalchi-Erizzo Museum, art is experienced through a special workshop dedicated to the painting of artists Idelgarda Dalla Porta and Carlo Donati, with the participation of Cecilia Zanetti.
During the workshop, the technique of monotype printing will be introduced: a primarily painting procedure that uses printing methods to create a single piece, with or without a press. The meeting will include a historiographical section and the sharing of previously made prints. The two possible working methods on plexiglass or similar plates will then be described: subtraction painting — which involves the use of brushes, rollers, rags, textured fabrics, etc... — and addition painting, similar to classical painting with the use of a brush.
Participants will be able to choose to use one of the two techniques or a mix of both. It will be possible to create one or more prints, each time different.
At the end of the workshop, each participant will have experienced all the phases of design, inking, processing, and printing.
