On the occasion of the feast of the Patron Saint, the Committee for the Celebrations in honor of Saint Zeno Bishop presents the Zenonian Celebrations in the Jubilee 2025
Saturday, April 26th:
concert dedicated to the late Holy Father Francis, performed by the San Zeno instrumental chapel, with the youth chamber orchestra conducted by Barbara Broz.
Wednesday, May 7th:
inside the basilica which is the Jubilee church, a talk by emeritus bishop Giuseppe Zenti on "The meaning of the Jubilee in the history of the Church: holy door and indulgences."
Sunday, May 11th:
ringing of the bells according to the Veronese system, following the recent replacement of the clappers.
Wednesday, May 14th:
at 8:30 PM, a cultural-spiritual evening is scheduled to explore the three theological virtues from Dante's perspective.
Sunday, May 18th:
at 11:30 AM, exactly one year after the visit of Pope Francis to the Scaliger city and in memory of the event that everyone still holds dear, "we will celebrate a Mass dedicated to all those who bear the name of the patron Zeno."
Tuesday, May 20th:
at 6:30 PM, the First Vespers will be held in the solemnity of the patron, featuring a speech by Bishop Domenico Pompili to the city.
On the day of the solemnity of Saint Zeno, Wednesday, May 21, at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, two Masses will be celebrated in the crypt that houses the remains of the Bishop, and the relics will be venerated.
At 6:30 PM, the Pontifical Mass presided over by Bishop Domenico with the delivery of the oil for the lamp in front of the urn containing the body of the patron, organized by the diocesan vicariate of Bussolengo, with the participation of the mayors of the area.
Friday, May 23rd:
at 8:45 PM in the basilica, a world premiere concert dedicated to "Mary, Mother of God," featuring music by Ottorino Respighi and his wife Elsa Olivieri Sangiacomo Respighi.
Scores performed by the Alter Athestis Choir and the Instrumental Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Gian Luca Zoccatelli and Maestro Antonio Segafreddo.
Sunday, June 8th, solemnity of Pentecost: concert by the Brass Ensemble of the Dall'Abaco Conservatory, conducted by Alberto Frugoni with music by Strauss, Elgar, Dukas, Bruckner, Lauridsen, Tomasi.
