Christmas in the 8th District

With the arrival of Christmas, the Eighth District is preparing to ignite the magic of the holidays with a rich calendar of events dedicated to families, children, young people, and music and tradition enthusiasts. A widespread program that involves Valpantena and Valsquaranto, built thanks to the collaboration between associations, schools, parishes, and local entities.

The festivities open with two events dedicated to children's theater: “The True Story of Santa Lucia”, a performance by Modus Teatro and the puppet show “Who Kidnapped Santa Claus?” by Stefano Paiusco.

Music will be a key feature on several dates with concerts dedicated to choral singing and classical instruments. In the evocative setting of the Church of Santa Maria in Stelle, the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta proposes the concert “Sounds of the Organ”, featuring trumpet and organ, while the Theater of the Parish of Mizzole hosts “Christmas Bands”, with the participation of the Illasi Wind Band and the Montorio Band. There are two choral events, at the Antica Pieve Santa Maria Assunta in Montorio, a concert with the female choir Suricantus, and at the parish church of Novaglie, Epiphany Concert with the parish choir and the Coro Scaligero dell’Alpe.

The Christmas initiatives sponsored and supported this year by the Eighth District testify to the vitality and strong sense of community that characterize our towns. Particularly striking is the proposal reserved for families and children: theatrical performances and puppet shows, the most beloved traditions like Santa Lucia and Santa Claus, along with numerous creative workshops, offer families precious opportunities to spend time together and create memories.
