Charleston Gospel Singers with Tony Washington
The rich gospel tradition of South Carolina, which over the decades has produced and shaped hundreds of artists and gospel groups, is enriched this year by this new musical experience that has sparked great curiosity in the gospel circuit of the Baptist Churches in the region. This ensemble, consisting of seven members, is based on two foundations of African American gospel culture: the great tradition related to "voice" and "sound" connected to the deep gospel roots, with attention to contemporary sounds that create an interesting blend between past and present.
