Festa di San Martino

November 11th, the day dedicated to Saint Martin - a Roman officer who became a monk after sharing his cloak with a poor beggar - also holds deep meaning in rural tradition. It marked the end of the agricultural year: contracts were renewed, and farming families often moved to new homes, an event known as “Far San Martìn”. Despite the hardships, it was a time for gratitude, rest, and celebration, accompanied by the fruits of the earth.
