The evening will be dedicated to the rituals of transition from winter to spring in the Veronese peasant tradition.
The theme of “beating March” will be addressed as a symbolic gesture of awakening the earth and driving away adversities.
Particular attention will be given to the cante de marzo, ritual and communal practices related to fertility, hope, and the cycle of life.
Through readings from the works of Dino Coltro, the social role of the peasant woman, the centrality of children, and the value of the dowry as both an economic and symbolic foundation of rural marriage will be analyzed.
Free experience, limited places.
