Goran Bregović & The Wedding & Funeral Band

The Veronese Theatre Summer returns to fill the Roman Theatre with great Italian and international music.

As part of the “musical contaminations” festival, the evening of July 27 will be brightened by one of the most famous Balkan musicians and composers in the world: the Maestro Goran Bregović, accompanied by the extraordinary “The Wedding & Funeral Band”.

We will witness an explosive show, capable of great virtuosity.
The The Wedding & Funeral Band, composed of trumpets, trombones, bass drum, clarinet, saxophone, and Bulgarian voices will bring “turbo folk” to Verona, in a performance that revisits its historic hits and tracks from its most recent albums, not forgetting some previews of the next recording project.

These musicians, raised in the gypsy tradition, are renowned for their ability to harmoniously blend different musical traditions: Bulgarian vocals, Slavic folklore, Orthodox sacred polyphony, and the pulses of modern rock.
