The National Archaeological Museum of Verona hosts the photographic exhibition Guet Ndar. The sea, our life.
Twelve intense shots by young Senegalese photographer Abdoulaye Touré capture the daily life and strength of a community that lives in symbiosis with water, amidst ancient traditions and contemporary challenges.
Guet Ndar is a fishing village where Abdoulaye Touré was born: a community where the sea dictates the rhythms of life, shapes traditions, and molds culture.

The images tell of a “slow life,” regulated by codified gestures passed down through generations, in which we can also perceive the echo of the ancient past displayed in the National Archaeological Museum of Verona.
The exhibition has been curated and designed by the National Archaeological Museum and the association Contemporanea Contemporanei Project.
