Il Bianco è il Nero

From February 1 to March 8, 2026, the painting exhibition The White is Black "DAS WEISSE IST DAS SCHWARZE" by Renzo Pastrello - TPR and Alexander Wiest will be open to visitors in Soave. 

The title of the exhibition is inspired by the story of "The White Rose," in memory of Sophie Scholl and the group of students from the University of Munich who non-violently opposed the Nazi regime between the summer of 1942 and February 1943.

"This exhibition is not meant to be just a cultural or visual experience: it aims to be a moment of reflection on the current global situation, on the role that each of us chooses to take. It is also a gift to the new generations: a sign to remember that peaceful and non-violent rebellion against authoritarian systems is always possible; that each one of us can still be their own hope for a better future" - Alexander Wiest.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from Friday to Sunday from 10:00 to 12:30 and from 14:30 to 18:30, and it is divided into three different locations: Church of San Rocco, Sala delle Feste at Palazzo del Capitano, and Church of the Dominicans.
