The King of England unexpectedly dies during the inauguration of a hotel in Scotland. However, the palace doctor is unable to reach the location in time to confirm the death due to a heavy storm. The task then falls to the only doctor present in the facility, a veterinarian specialized in pigs.

Despite the advisors insisting that the sovereign died of a heart attack, the veterinarian immediately realizes that this is not the true cause of death, but pretends otherwise and plays along. Meanwhile, the heir to the throne arrives at the hotel, a bland prince who, by his own admission, is stupid and still wears a Nazi uniform, as he had just been attending a themed party in celebration of gay pride. The prince is left alone with the doctor to prepare his first speech to the nation, but he does not hide his hesitation and lack of experience. The veterinarian then realizes he has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but he must play his cards right...
