From Saturday 11 to Saturday 25 October, the Harmony Hub Cultural Association presents the second edition of the Undiscovered Music Festival, the art music festival that features repertoires drawn from the vocal and instrumental chamber music of the 19th century.
This year, the venues are divided among the most fascinating and symbolic churches of the city of Verona.
After the preview on July 1, where the Hotchkiss Philarmonic Orchestra performed at the Church of Santa Anastasia, the festival continues with the second event on the program on October 11 at the Church of San Giorgio in Braida with Distant Lights, featuring the Novae Cordae Ensemble, Arianna Di Martino on cello, and Liepina Madara on violin, who will perform music by Vasks and Weinberg. Following this, on October 16, the organ of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, accompanied by Michele Fontana, resonates in Geometries of Time, with compositions by Frescobaldi and Glass. The series concludes on October 25 at the Church of Santa Maria Antica with Harmonic Paths, an emotional journey guided by the flute of Lorenzo D'Anto and the guitar of Michele Di Filippo, featuring music by Haendel, Casella, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, and Di Filippo.
The main objective of the Festival is to engage a young audience in the world of art music, responding to its specific needs.
Free admission.
