"The illness has put many things in their place in my life, reordering, destroying. When you stop being how others want you to be, everything changes. You hear that things can only work if you fit within the enclosure. Rebelling doesn't help, you can't make it on your own because you are only worth something if someone else measures and gives you that merit. Words can crumple you like tissue paper, you start to think that you will never be the same, you waver and think that perhaps the truth is on the other side, maybe if you go back those words won't echo in your ears anymore. Maybe, if you go back, you won't cry anymore. Maybe you'll be a good mother again. Maybe you'll be a woman to court and love again, but maybe if you go back you won't be able to save yourself anymore. When we stop smiling, we have to leave."
