L'antico orologio della torre torna al Castello Scaligero

Following the restoration of the ancient clock mechanism, originally installed in the main tower of the Scaliger Castle of Villafranca in 1890, the clock has returned to its original location.

The mechanism, recovered and restored between May and June 2012 by the National Association of the Fante Section of Villafranca di Verona, had been housed at the Nicolis Museum, where it remained for 13 years until November 24, 2025.

The ancient mechanism is now located along the exhibition halls within the castle, where it can be admired by all visitors, along with the 19th-century painting of Christ, created by Jacopo Tumicelli, originally placed at the main entrance of the castle.
