The evocative exhibition spaces of the Capitol Library host the temporary exhibition "The Evolution of Language": a journey to discover the birth of the vernacular language, particularly that of Italian.
From the first annotations to the great masterpieces of Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio, reaching less well-known local authors like Gidino da Sommacampagna, up to the reflections of Pietro Bembo and the Academicians of the Crusca, and the works of Manzoni: this journey will take us to the origins of our way of expressing ourselves, relating to each other, observing and describing the world, in a path that transforms words into a living testimony of a shared history.
