Fondazione Cariverona presents at Castel San Pietro the solo exhibition and site-specific project by Maffeo d’Arcole, “STOP, no further” - curated by Daniela Rosi, as part of Interregno, in collaboration with Urbs Picta, with artistic direction by Jessica Bianchera.
An immersive journey featuring over 30 large canvases, 22 collages (The Bitter Chalice), three installations (including Sand Creek and People on the Move), videomapping, projections, and video installations. Many of the works are untitled to draw the viewer’s attention to responsibility. STOP, no further is indeed an invitation to an act of consciousness: to reject desensitization and stop before injustice becomes “normal,” before war, migration, the oppression of the most vulnerable, and environmental degradation flow over us without leaving a trace.
The exhibition brings the theme of boundaries both inside and outside of art: a choral art born from the grassroots and rooted in Arcole, in the province of Verona, that generates relationships and community involvement. Castel San Pietro thus becomes a space to traverse, not merely a container.
