October's Sundays at the Park of the Walls of Verona

For the month of October, the Association Committee for Greenery is organizing four appointments to discover the Park of the Walls.

The schedule includes the following appointments:

• October 5th, 9:30 AM, Visit Castel San Felice;

Starting from the Batteria di Scarpa and visiting Castel San Felice, including a tour of the interiors.

• October 12th, 9:30 AM, Strategic Verona: Scaliger, Venetian, and Austrian Walls;

A walk among fortifications, gates, and walls: The route develops from the Bastione Campo Marzo (Porta Vittoria), passing through Porta Vescovo, and ending the itinerary at the Batteria di Scarpa.

• October 19th, 10:00 AM, October 16th, 1866: The Entry of the Italians into Verona;

The history and locations of the entry of the Italian bersaglieri into Verona and the transfer of the city of Verona to the Kingdom of Italy after the annexation of Veneto. Meeting point: Porta Vescovo.

• October 26th, The Walls and the Public Garden in the 1900s.

A walk through the public gardens near the walls between Borgo Trento and Valdonega to discover the city's public gardens, including the Giardini Lombroso, Madonna del Terraglio, and the Park of Castel San Pietro.

The event, organized by the Association Committee for Greenery, is sponsored by the 1st Circumscription and the Municipality of Verona.
