Palio del Vino e dei Sapori

The event involving the town of Negrar is just around the corner: the Palio del Vino & dei Sapori (Wine and Flavours Festival) will be held on 27-28 September.

Once again, the stars of this event are Valpolicella wines in all their varieties (classico, superiore, ripasso, recioto and amarone) and typical local products.

Food and wine stands are ready to delight the palates of all visitors. But that's not all... music, street artists, hobbyists and exhibitors will enliven the event, making these two days full of joy and celebration!

The aim of this event is:

• to raise awareness and promote the wines of the area,
• to promote typical local flavours, often linked to the grape harvest and the gastronomic heritage of Verona,
• to involve local associations, volunteers, cultural and social organisations in creating an event that is a celebration, a local partnership and a rediscovery of the area.

Programme
Here are the planned activities, subject to change:

Saturday 27 September:

12:00 noon – opening of food and wine stands and exhibitors
3:00 p.m. – amateur demonstration of “S-ciapa Soche”
4:30 p.m. – concert with the Suzuki ensemble (violin, viola, cello)
6:00 pm – musical march with the Negrar and Lavagna (Genoa) marching bands, followed by a welcome from the authorities
8:00 pm – live music with Andrea Bertani and The Frequencies
12:00 am – stands close

Sunday 28 September:

10:00 a.m. – stands open; Kids Area with free inflatable playground
11:00 a.m. – concert in the square with the Negrar and Lavagna Bands
2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – “Aperi Honey”: guided honey tastings paired with cheese, wine and chocolate Oj Eventi+1
6:00 pm – live music with AndRock Oj Eventi
9:30 pm – stands and exhibitors close

In addition:

Inflatable amusement park for children and families
An educational apiary, also with free admission, to learn about the world of bees and local honey.

Admission: free for the main event at the stands; some guided tastings may have a cost.
