Verona celebrates its 25th anniversary of being enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a major exhibition of approximately 130 images created by 19 photographers who are members of the Verona Photographic Circle, which depict the richness of this important wall structure, focusing on how the city walls are experienced today by residents and visitors while narrating the transformations that have occurred over time, reconstructing the traces of different historical eras.
The exhibition path is organized by the Aps Verona Photographic Circle in collaboration with the Municipality - Department of Culture, UNESCO Office, International Center for Photography Scaliger Excavations with the aim of sparking curiosity and stimulating a deeper understanding of a story that spans centuries from the earliest Roman period to the last Austrian domination.
It is also a way to thank the Associations (Legambiente, Verona Città Fortificata, Archeonaute, SMS Porta Palio) and local entities that have taken care of the walls over the years and contribute to making them known by organizing guided tours at various sites.
Free entry. Opening hours from Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM and 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, volunteers are present for guided tours.
