San Giò Verona Video Festival

An unmissable appointment with contemporary cinema.

Cineclub Verona, a Cultural Society founded in 1935, presents with the sponsorship and cooperation of FEDIC and the Municipality of Verona the 31st edition of the San Giò Verona Video Festival, an international showcase of digital productions and other images. A 'civic' film festival, where films are not just images, but real stimuli that help build a collective consciousness and overcome selfishness in favor of the common good.

The festival is animated by a rich and varied program, featuring about 50 video productions including short films and feature films from around the world. The screenings will take place every evening at 9 PM from July 23 to July 27, and in the afternoon at 4 PM from July 24 to July 27.

This year's festival is dedicated to Abbas Gharib, an Iranian architect, and to Angelo, a free man.

The competing films are shot in digital and selected for their artistic, civic, and historical value, they will be divided into two sections: the Classic section for videos shorter than 30 minutes and the San Giò in lungo section for works that exceed 30 minutes. 

A quality jury will evaluate the competing works and award special prizes.
