The Lovers

In the multidisciplinary program of the Cultural Olympics of Milan Cortina 2026, promoted with events of culture, heritage, and sports during the period of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, which Italy will host from February 6 to 22 and from March 6 to 15, 2026, five free guided tours, by reservation, are planned at the Roman Theatre – not at the Museum as it is not accessible - conducted by the operators of the Educational Secretariat of the Civic Museums, using symbols of AAC (Augmentative Alternative Communication) and in collaboration with the Oltre Magy’s OdV Association.

The visit to this site is connected to the Roman heritage of the Arena amphitheater, which serves as the backdrop for the ceremonies, closed to public visits until March 20. The intention of the proposal is to enhance the accessibility of the visits specifically to the Roman Theatre, regularly open to the public throughout the period of the Olympic and Paralympic ceremonies.

The visits will be preceded by a workshop moment inside Palazzo Fontana, at the Roman Theatre, in the educational rooms of the Museum, accessible via an elevator and equipped with restrooms for persons with disabilities.

The appointments, aimed at those who may be interested, are scheduled for the following days:

• Friday, March 20, at 3:30 PM

A new paper guide has also been created for participants with symbols of Augmentative Alternative Communication, designed to provide visitors with useful tools for an inclusive and accessible visit. An audio guide for visually impaired individuals is also offered, activated by a QR code printed on the paper guide and available on the Museum's website.
