The Passion of Christ as hope

The exhibition “The Passion of Christ as Hope”, created by the artist Ottorino Buttarelli, presents a journey of contemporary works that reinterpret the Passion of Christ by placing it in dialogue with the suffering of today's world, such as wars, violence, and injustice.

Through quotations from great masterpieces in the history of art, sacred images intertwine with scenes from current reality, creating a strong contrast but also a positive message: from pain can arise hope, solidarity, and the possibility of rebirth. The exhibition thus invites the visitor to reflect not only on the religious meaning of the Passion but also on the universal value of peace, sharing, and commitment to a better future.
