Verona Mountain Film Festival

Large cultural tourism event for mountain cinema enthusiasts, aimed at promoting the environments of the so-called "High Lands of the World" and discovering them through exploration, climbing, and mountaineering.

The Festival, now in its 10th edition, brings together, in a single format, film screenings and related events linked to mountain culture: presentations, awards, artistic and musical performances, photography screenings.

An international call for a film competition is promoted, open to directors and production companies from all over the world who have made the mountain, particularly mountaineering, exploration, and climbing, the main subject of their works. A photography competition dedicated to the theme of the mountain is also promoted, aimed at both professional photographers and amateurs.

The event is organized by some Verona sections of the Italian Alpine Club in collaboration with the Mountain Italy Association.

The Mountain Italy Association was founded in 1996 with the aim of promoting mountain territory and its expressions, with the intent of supporting tourism, culture, and the environment, in Italy and abroad, organizing fairs, conferences, studies, shows, events, and exhibitions.
