After the triumphant success of the 2022 concert series, the great synergy between Zucchero “Sugar” Fornaciari and the City of Verona is once again confirmed, which will exclusively host the only 9 concerts at the Verona amphitheater at the end of his Italian tour in 2025.
After the summer stadium tour, the Emilia-Romagna artist is ready from September 16 to 28, 2025 to once again conquer the stage in Verona.
Among the leading interpreters of rock blues in Italy, Zucchero (whose real name is Adelmo Fornaciari) has sold over 60 million records in his career, including 8 million with the album “Oro, incenso & birra.”
In addition to being the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Zucchero is also the only Italian artist to have participated in the Woodstock Festival in 1994, in the Freddie Mercury Tribute in 1992, and in all 46664 events for Nelson Mandela. He is also one of the few Italian artists nominated for a Grammy, alongside Billy Preston and Eric Clapton for best "R&B Traditional Vocal Collaboration.” His concert in December 2012 at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana was considered the greatest live performance ever held by a foreign singer in Cuba under embargo.
His music has transcended national boundaries thanks to numerous collaborations with international artists such as Bryan Adams, The Blues Brothers, Bono, Jeff Beck, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker, Elvis Costello, Miles Davis, Peter Gabriel, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Mark Knopfler, Brian May, Luciano Pavarotti, Iggy Pop, Queen, Alejandro Sanz, Sting, and many others.
