Once isolated, Corte Vandin is now surrounded by the houses of the center of San Giovanni Ilarione.
The villa and its original features are almost unrecognizable, due to numerous internal and external modifications, and there is very little left of the buildings attached to it. To trace the layout of the various spaces of the villa, we must go back in time, using some maps from the 1700s. From these, it is clear that agricultural activities were confined to three surrounding areas.
A small barn with arches, designated for agricultural activities, remains worthy of note. The coat of arms of this noble family, linked to San Giovanni Ilarione from the 16th to the 19th century, can still be seen today on the key of the entrance portal of the courtyard, depicting a green tree set on a hill.
Later it became the property of the Balzi family, large landowners in the 16th century, who, over time, intermarried with noble families such as the Salvioni, the Loschi, the Traverso, and the Bevilacqua-Lazise.
