Quattro passi tra i vigneti e gli ulivi di Illasi

A circular path to discover the territory of Illasi up to the hill where the splendid Castle stands, from whose ridge one can enjoy views of the Val d’Illasi and the Val Tramigna.

An itinerary to discover the beauties of Illasi, a city of oil and wine, and admire one of the most photographed places in the area: the Castle of Illasi, located on top of a hill. An ancient medieval fortress placed to defend the village of Illasi and to oversee, along with the Castle of Soave, the valley routes.

Beyond the Castle, it will be possible to discover two splendid architectural complexes: the Sanctuary of S. Felice, a building dating back to the 9th-10th century that houses numerous frescoes making this sacred place one of the most expressive from an artistic point of view, and the church of San Marco, recently built, surrounded by olive groves.

The itinerary thus allows one to enjoy a path immersed in nature, among olive trees, vineyards, centuries-old trees, the gentle hills of Val d'Illasi, and additional historical-artistic elements such as the Villa Sagramoso Perez Pompei built in 1615 and surrounded by a 60-hectare park where an Italian garden was created in the 1800s.
