A timeless kiss

An unprecedented show, a multisensory journey between stage and audience. At the Ristori Theater, from June 7 to September 21, 2025, a new immersive experience is ready to captivate the audience.

For the first time in an Italian theater, art, music, and dance merge in a multimedia immersive work inspired by the life of Gustav Klimt and Shakespeare's myth of Romeo and Juliet.

The auditorium, the stage, and the galleries become living sets in which the spectator is invited to immerse themselves, freely exploring the theatrical space and climbing to the top gallery to admire the performance from always different perspectives. The indoor installation brings everyone back to traditional theater, but enriched with a new perception.

An enveloping sensory experience where Klimt's painting artistry and Shakespeare's eternal drama of Romeo and Juliet blend into an exciting and original narrative.

A Timeless Kiss stands out from other immersive experiences for its strong theatrical imprint, made of visual and musical density. The performance, through evocative works and images, retraces Klimt's life and the context of the Vienna Secession. With a golden explosion, the scene reassembles into a Veronese starry sky, under which the story of Romeo and Juliet takes form. The bloody clash between the Montagues and Capulets is depicted, as is the love between the protagonists brought to life on stage through the dance of two dancers. The performance concludes once again with Klimt through a harmonious and introspective projection of the Tree of Life.

Klimt's Kiss is the point of connection with the Shakespearean universe: “the two lovers who kiss—but never truly kiss—become Romeo and Juliet,” states director Massimiliano Siccardi.

Music is the supporting architecture of the work, conceived as a “sonic landscape” that underpins the narrative thread. If music is the soul, dance is the body: at the peak moment of the performance, one witnesses the duet of the dancers, choreographed by master Alessandra Celentano to the notes of “Il cielo in una stanza” by Gino Paoli.

The experience is available every day from 10 AM to 8 PM, with hourly 45-minute performances, while the special edition of the “Immersive experience + Dance performance” takes place every Saturday at 12:00 PM.
