Abendmusiken

The Lorenzo Perosi Choir of Verona, which has reached its 60th anniversary since its birth, organizes, under the patronage of the Municipality of Verona, the festival of sacred and religious music Abendmusiken, from the German music of the night, has reached the XLV edition. This year's title is Jubilate Deo.

A wonderful journey between sacred and religious pages, animated by an ecumenical and interreligious spirit, which from medieval Gregorian chant reaches our days.

The first scheduled event is on Friday, November 29th at 9 p.m. at the Church of the SS. Pietro and Paolo of Poiano di Valpantena, to continue in December with two concerts, the first Sunday 1st at 5 p.m. in the Church of S. Fermo Minor Padri Filippini of Verona and the second Wednesday 4th at 9 p.m in the Basilica of Santa Anastasia.

The performances are based on a vast repertoire that includes the music of Johann Georg Albrechtsberger, Antonio Caldara, Hans Leo Hassler, Franz Joseph Haydn, Giovanni Battista Riccio, Domenico Scarlatti and Stephan Stocker.
