Agorà Lyric World International Competition

Verona transforms for a week into the capital of young talents in opera.

Agorà Lyric World, a cultural association from Verona created to establish a connection between training and profession in the world of opera, presents the third edition of the Agorà Lyric World International Competition.

The 2027 edition is dedicated to the internationally renowned soprano Maria José Siri, who will also chair the jury.

For a young singer, talent alone is often not enough: the right people at the right time are needed.
The distinctive value of the competition is precisely the opportunity to be heard by professionals who choose artists for opera productions in Italy and abroad.

"Agorà Lyric World was born above all to be a bridge: between those who study and those who choose the artists, between Verona and Italian and international theaters", declares the President of Agorà Federico Residori.

The jury for the 2027 edition, chaired by soprano Maria José Siri, will gather superintendents, artistic directors, artistic organization managers, and casting managers from important Italian and international opera institutions, along with five agents and well-known artistic representatives.

The final concert will take place in the Sala Maffeiana of the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, a historic hall where a thirteen-year-old Mozart performed in 1770 as a guest of the Accademia Filarmonica during his first trip to Italy.
