Along the Tartaro River, between historic residences and landscape
On Sunday, November 8, the Ecomuseum Aquae Planae offers a new opportunity to discover the history and landscape of the Veronese Plain.
The itinerary will guide participants on a walk of about 4 km to discover Palazzo Maggi, an ancient country residence, and Villa Marogna, an example of rural property from the sixteenth century. Two residences that tell the story of the connection between the Tartaro River, agricultural activities, and the lives of noble families in the area.
The route will wind through the Tartaro landscape, between the Old River and the New River, to delve into the history of land reclamation works, the challenges of draining the land, and the interventions that, over time, have contributed to transforming the territory.
An opportunity to read the landscape with new eyes, rediscovering its historical traces and the relationship with human activities.
