This year the Conservatory of Verona hosts the second edition of Bass is Best, born from the success of the first edition held at the Conservatory of Trento initiated by its founder, M° Massimiliano Rizzoli.
The emotions conveyed by 47 young double bassists highlight a certainty: the double bass as an instrument with extraordinary expressive possibilities. Traditionally relegated to a supportive role, it becomes the absolute protagonist here with a monumental orchestra conducted by M° Fabio Serafini.
The event, organized as part of the Erasmus BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) project, sees the participation of students and teachers from 7 partner foreign conservatories (Braga, Vigo, Augsburg, Jaén, León, A Coruña, Sofia) and 6 Italian conservatories (Bolzano, Cesena, Modena, Trento, Udine, and Verona).
