Believe Film Festival

From October 23 to 26, a new edition of the Believe Film Festival returns, now in its 8th edition.

Verona becomes the capital of young cinema for a weekend with the most important Italian event dedicated to young authors under 24. An event that unites cinema, training, and networking, giving space to emerging talent and new audiovisual languages to bring future talents to light.

The screenings, meetings, and workshops will mainly take place at the prestigious Teatro Ristori and in other partner venues across the city, with a rich program that will transform Verona into a vast, immersive set.

The beating heart of the Festival is the Official Selection, which this year presents intense and diverse titles. From the coming-of-age and freedom story of "Di Notte Non Vale" by Rocco Morziello, where a methodical young man meets an influencer who forces him to rethink his life, to the theme of inclusion with "Diverso d'Amore" by Leonardo Bertini, the story of a boy born deaf who discovers charisma and friendship in a colleague; from the alienation and psychological games of "Doso" by Michele Gaggiano to the challenge of adolescence as an act of resistance in "Figli d'Icaro" by Vito Mistretta. Completing the section are "Il Tempo del Fiume" by Simone Scardovi, which observes the suspended and dramatic moment of a group of young people facing an unexpected event, and "L'Ultima Linea" by Federico Veneri, set after a battle, where a young soldier and the survivors must face the looming threat.

In addition to the official selection category, there is also the “beginners” section, dedicated to works by directors aged between 14 and 18, the “out of competition” section, featuring meetings with crews to give voice to those bringing experimental, original, or independent works to the Festival, and the “Believe Extra” section.
