On Monday, April 20, 2026, the Teatro Nuovo in Verona will stage the show by Cathy La Torre, “Every Time Women.”
An exciting conference-performance that combines storytelling, emotion, and irony to bring to light the stories of extraordinary women, forgotten protagonists of official History. On stage, Cathy La Torre will guide the audience on a fascinating journey through rebellious, courageous, and visionary lives: female figures who profoundly impacted their time, yet too often did not receive the recognition they deserved.
Like Hedy Lamarr, Hollywood diva, who in 1942 patented the ‘secret communication system’, the precursor to wireless technology. Like Rosa Parks, who would not give up her seat on the bus to a white man. They always said she did it because she was tired. Tired, yes, but of suffering. Like Malala Yousafzai, who at 15 was shot by a Taliban bullet while going to school because she was advocating for the right to education for girls, later becoming such a strong and powerful voice that she became the youngest person in the world to receive the Nobel Peace Prize at 17.
With her direct and engaging style, La Torre transforms historical memory into a vivid and current narrative, capable of inspiring and leaving a profound mark on the audience. A unique opportunity to reflect on the past, give voice to those who have been silenced, and rediscover the immense value of women's contributions to the building of our society.
