Closing Ceremony Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026

The Verona Arena changes its appearance and for one day becomes the Verona Olympic Arena, hosting the Closing Ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games for the occasion.

The Roman Amphitheater, which will be the first historical monument recognized as a World Heritage site to host an Olympic ceremony, will be illuminated by stories of inclusion and passion, symbolically immersing in the beauty of the city and in a collective celebration that will unite history, culture, and sports values.

The title chosen for the Ceremony is “Beauty in Action”: a tribute to beauty in motion in all its forms, a narrative between dream and reality that intertwines tradition and innovation. A fusion of lyricism, music, dance, cinema, design, and technology, the show will draw inspiration from the cultural and artistic richness of Italy, an expression of its powerful balance between classicism and contemporaneity, and from the creative ability of Italians to transform aesthetics into emotion. The first major guest announced for the ceremony is international étoile Roberto Bolle.

The set design will take inspiration from a drop of water, a symbol of a continuously moving natural cycle that connects mountains, plains, cities, lagoons, seas, and skies. The homage to water, which in its solid form is essential for winter sports, will guide the creation of the stage space, introducing a completely new layout for the Arena, and allowing the ceremony's boundaries to expand to Piazza Bra and the Teatro Filarmonico of Verona, where the choir and orchestra of the Verona Arena Foundation will perform.

The team of creatives working on the Closing Ceremony of Milan Cortina 2026 will be led by Alfredo Accatino, President of Filmmaster and the signature behind some of the most important international productions in the events world.
