Associazione Concorso Elsa Respighi Verona presents the ninth edition of the International Vocal Chamber Music Competition named after Elsa Respighi, 19th-century Italian Chamber Opera.
The International Competition takes place on 19 and 20 October 2024 in the prestigious Palazzo Verità-Poeta in Verona, and is reserved for Italian and foreign singers and pianists in "voice-piano" chamber duo, aged 18 to 38. The enhancement of the musical repertoire between the end of the 19th century and the historical 20th century is the goal of this important Competition, which develops the writing for "voice-piano" in Italian, from Romance to Melody or Chamber Opera.
Competition of a high interpretative level, inspired by the figure of Elsa Respighi, aims to spread the knowledge of vocal chamber music in Italian among young people around the world, supporting cultural exchange and mutual knowledge.
