CONTEMPORARY NON-STOP The breath of nature | EARTH

Appointment at the Achille Forti Modern Art Gallery, in a space reserved for the exploration of contemporary languages through the exhibition of the most representative works of the civic collection.

The multiplicity of languages – from digital to photography, from installation to the more traditional painting technique – thus expresses itself, in the prestigious setting of the Palazzo della Ragione, through a play of consonances and counterpoints in an open circuit between space, work, and viewer.

The project, now concluded with its fourth edition, is dedicated to the element Earth.

The exhibition is structured around the suggestion of the thought of Anaximander of Miletus (circa 610 b.c. – circa 546 b.c.), a presocratic philosopher who identifies the origin of things in the ápeiron – literally "without limit," "in-finite" – an indeterminate principle from which everything is created and where everything has an end. In this context, it is associated with the element of earth, also understood as a place of perpetual genesis, guardian of memory and belonging, and witness to possible extinction.

The selected artists and their works, including Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Davide Maria Coltro, Giuliana Cunéaz, and Debora Hirsch, contribute to developing an exhibition route that interprets the fourth element through contemporary languages and tools, such as artificial intelligence and digital technologies, which intertwine with more traditional techniques – such as oil painting, charcoal drawing, and sculpture shaped through a variety of materials.
