The Roman Theatre shines a spotlight on the 78th edition of the Verona Theatre Summer, which confirms and seals the indissoluble bond between music, theatre, and dance.
The program is divided into thematic sections that guide the audience through a true experiential journey: the Shakespeare Festival; the Grand Soirée; the Classical; the International Dance; New Orbits/Youth; the Musical Contaminations; and finally the Constellations, which put arts, spaces, and communities in dialogue.
The Verona Theatre Summer 2026 continues the thematic journey on the states of matter that began in 2025, dedicated to water, taking Earth as the new conceptual focal point.
The title (H)Earth of Glass reflects its complexity: earth as living and fragile matter, cultural landscape, and identity root, but also a symbolic figure — Gaia, original mother and archetype of fertility, care, and regeneration.
The theme of Earth has allowed for the definition of a system of correspondences capable of giving coherence and direction to the programming of the different sections of the festival, which features high-quality performances, protagonists of the national and international theatrical scene, and strongly innovative choices.
The Roman Theatre confirms itself as the beating heart of the festival, from which performances radiate that transform Verona into a shared and traversable space, a cultural landscape in continuous movement.
★ For those seeking an even more immersive and unique experience, Destination Verona Garda, in collaboration with the municipality of Verona and the Verona Theatre Summer, presents:
