Giovanni Vernia, actor, television and radio host, one of the most well-known comedians in Italy, departs from Verona on May 5 with his new tour "VERNIA O NON VERNIA – SBRILLUCCICOSO EDITION," written and performed by Giovanni Vernia, directed by Giampiero Solari and Paola Galassi.

Vernia tells his story in a self-deprecating manner, never neglecting a strong connection to the reality of our times.

The show is inspired by a Shakespearean dilemma, revisited in a comedic way, leading the audience to a legitimate question: is it better to be Vernia or all the Non Vernia that he has inside him, which take over when he least expects it?

In this show, the artist explains where his comic madness originates. It is an inner demon of his, which begins to appear from childhood, stimulated by the Genoa where he grew up and his extravagant relatives from Puglia and Sicily. It is a kind of mischievous spirit, increasingly invasive during his career as an engineer. This show is an exercise in intelligent lightness, where the artist's personal story overlaps with a very funny yet sharp journey through the clichés of these strange modern times.
