Grenze - Arsenali Fotografici

From September 19 to October 21, 2025, the appointment with "Grenze - Festival of Contemporary and International Photography" returns, now in its eighth edition.

The formula, tested over the years, is strongly aimed at international protagonists with artists from all over the world; in addition, exhibitions, training, laboratories, workshops.

The theme of the edition that opens on September 19 is “Anfällig”: ephemeral, delicate, vulnerable

An existence weakened by external difficulties, by the unpredictability of events. Instead of hiding, as often happens, the vulnerability inherent in people, the festival's concept is to highlight the more fragile side of us. Because our daily lives rest their shaky foundations on a thin balance, made of challenges and threats. At any moment, everything can fall and crumble, and it is up to us to rise again every day, finding the strength to start over.

The main exhibition venues will be Il Meccanico, Fondazione Spazio Vitale, Urban, and Bastione delle Maddalene.

The artistic direction of the festival is entrusted to Simone Azzoni, a teacher and art critic, and Francesca Marra, a photographer and teacher, with the support of a team of scholars, students, and photography enthusiasts.
