The seventh edition of "Grenze - Festival of contemporary and international photography" is scheduled from September 14th to October 15th 2024.
The formula, tested over the years, is strongly suited to international protagonists with artists from all over the world; also exhibitions, training, laboratories, workshops.
The theme of the edition which opens on September 14th is “Der Verzicht”: Impotence.
To step back.
Taking a sideways step in front of what you don't understand, that you don't know how to face because it's too big, too difficult, too much.
Apology of renunciation.
Praise of fragility. What counts is what is losing. Against careerism, struggle, instinct and competition.
The material gives way, something else is made. In-potential, so that the Act is different from the response.
The artistic direction of the festival is by Simone Azzoni, teacher and art critic, Francesca Marra, photographer and teacher, supported by a team of scholars, students and photography enthusiasts.
The exhibition venues will be Il Meccanico, Isolo17 Gallery and Bastione delle Maddalene.
