Italian premiere of the theatrical reality of Verona Teatro Scientifico for Estate Teatrale Veronese, based on a reinterpretation of the myth of Hecuba, which extends to a reflection on the senselessness of war, the violence it unleashes, and particularly on that which affects women's bodies.
The performance observes the devastation of war and the loss of children in every conflict of yesterday and today from a perspective of reinterpreting the myth between past and present. It is a focus on violated motherhood and the cry of pain that tears the heart of a mother, giving voice to the figure of a woman reduced to a heap of emotional rubble, but also to resilient strength.
The woman who has seen, lived through, and experienced violence on her own skin, and who still sees, lives, and experiences violence.
A secular rite on the wars of yesterday and today and the wounds of women. A performance that aims to plant a seed in the spectators, leading them to reflect, to want to transform horror into solidarity and into listening to others. A cry that reaches up to today, to the wars that mankind continues to perpetrate.
