A small instrument capable of encapsulating a great tradition. It is the Carli Organ Opus 53, the protagonist of the inauguration concert scheduled for Sunday, October 11 at 6:00 p.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Legnago, on Viale dei Caduti. Admission is free.
For the occasion, The MusicalEnsemble Incanti, a formation specialized in ancient and baroque repertoire, led by Marco Vincenzi, organist and harpsichordist and professor at the State Conservatory of Music "E. F. Dall’Abaco" in Verona, will be featured.
The program will guide the audience through some of the most significant pages of European music from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century, with compositions by Carlo Francesco Pollarolo, Dietrich Buxtehude, Georg Friedrich Händel, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Antonio Vivaldi. A journey in which the organ will interact with soprano and string instruments, restoring to the Church of the Assumption a repertoire deeply linked to the musical tradition of the era.
The Carli Organ Opus 53, which has four stops and 172 pipes, belongs to the tradition of the chest organ, a particular type that, despite its reduced size, encapsulates the construction principles and essential components of a large wall organ. A synthesis of art and engineering that has its roots in the tradition of wooden organs found in the European courts of the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
We report the conclusion of Giorgio Carli in the "builder's note" regarding the instrument: «Remain a living memory of Germano, a great friend with whom I shared, for many years, a great passion.»
Alongside Marco Vincenzi, at the organ and conducting, will be Elena Bertuzzi soprano, Matteo Marzaro and Matteo Zanatto on violin, Lorenzo Boninsegna on viola, Marcello Scandelli on cello, Alessandro Pivelli on double bass, and Giulio Petrella on theorbo.
