The intense voice of Elio Germano and the music of Teho Teardo combine in an impressive experience of civic theatre that retraces the pages of the doctor and activist Gino Strada, founder of the Italian non-governmental organization Emergency.
“One Person at a Time” is not a classic autobiography, a genre not particularly appreciated by the writer, but it is the account of what he has understood in the travels that have taken him to distant countries to help the victims of conflicts. His is a deep, direct, and authentic reflection on the consequences of war and the universal right to health.
It is not a random choice. In a world still torn apart by numerous conflicts, Elio Germano and Teho Teardo remind us how important humanitarian aid is and celebrate the commitment of people like Gino Strada, who have dedicated and continue to dedicate their lives to saving human lives and fighting for their rights.
