Little Fun Palace / Verona

A caravan. A small, portable pavilion. A bar. An ephemeral gathering place. A tribute to the Fun Palace; the legendary project of architect Cedric Price and theater director Joan Littlewood who in the sixties wanted to create a street university, a laboratory of fun.

Little Fun Palace is a parasitic project presented alongside the performances of OHT, but also independent from them, within which meetings, dialogues, dances, and every form of spontaneity are organized. A project that focuses on the moment after the cultural offering; the moment when ideas, words, and people's reactions need space to happen. Little Fun Palace addresses a contemporary void by resurrecting the raison d'être of public areas; that of an open forum for spontaneous encounters between people.

The artistic installation by Filippo Andreatta for the Estate Teatrale Veronese delves into reality by claiming the physical space necessary for the flourishing of ideas through performances and meetings that transform the city into a workshop of thought, inviting spectators to rediscover their freedom through play and humor. A collective rite that crosses boundaries to rediscover, in the heart of the urban fabric, the most authentic essence of community. A nomadic workshop of ideas where words return to being the most powerful weapon to change the world.
