In the evocative Courtyard of the Mastio of Castelvecchio, Casa Shakespeare presents a new interpretation of Macbeth that closely explores the relationship between ambition, desire, and conscience. Through an original dramaturgy that intertwines Shakespeare's language with contemporary writing, the performance takes the audience to the heart of the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, observing their gradual descent into ruin.
Directed by Lucia Messina and written by Andrea de Manincor, Macbeth – Act of Blood is an immersive theatrical experience specially created for Castelvecchio, where classic tragedy and contemporary sensibility meet in a unique event of SHAKESPEARE 2026.
